I have lived in Virginia City for 13 years and couldn’t feel more at home in the rugged Sierra Nevada. After graduating from California State University at Chico in 1995 with a Bachelor’s in Political Science, I landed in South Lake Tahoe and embarked on a career in the ski industry, starting with sales and management at Heavenly. Eventually I migrated east to work for Jay Peak Ski Resort. My 10 years in the ski industry was invaluable and I received many accolades for my work - all while enjoying my passion for the rugged outdoors on skis and snowmobiles in the winter, and backpacks and hiking boots in summer.

 

My snowplowing experience was born out of the harsh demands of Vermont winters. For 6 years I serviced my area, plowing roads and driveways, short and long, for residents in my rural community, enjoying every minute. Obviously, I needed to keep my equipment in top working condition, which was never a problem because I have a passion for engines and machinery and have been turning wrenches since I was a young boy.
